Victor Knapp is a hard-working professional, with 20 years of
legal experience in the fields of entertainment, intellectual
property and complementary areas of law. |

Possessing both a business and juris doctor degree from St.
John's University (B.S. Accounting, 1976, magna cum laude; J.D.
1980 cum laude), Victor has also received his masters (LL.M.)
degree in Intellectual Property from Cardozo Law School. |

Complementing his legal skills, Victor also pursues acting
as a passion. Having performed in several small theatre and
independent film productions (see

Article, 11/21/00), he
has worked together with many aspiring playwrights, authors,
directors, theatre and film producers in launching and marketing
their projects. He has also served as an extern at the Dramatist
Guild which renders business advice to its member playwrights,
composers and lyricists (see Newsletter
article, The Dramatist, Jan.

With a deep interest in music, Victor has represented
numerous artists, songwriters, managers, production companies,
producers, agents, independent labels and publishers in
connection with various contract negotiations, business
formations and licenses. |

Sensitive to the rights of authors, he has represented various
playwrights, novelists and screenplay writers in connection with
publishing, purchase options and agency, writing and director
agreements. |
